Gross. Another organization has been accused of alleged sexual harassment by multiple women. This latest scandal, perpetrated by former employees of the Washington Redskins, was brought to light by The Washington Post.
According The Washington Post’s exclusive report, these alleged actions have occurred from as far back as 2006 to as recent as 2019. 15 women have alleged sexual harassment. However due to fear of litigation, Emily Applegate is the only woman on record at this time. Team owner Daniel Snyder, and his inner circle, are reportedly the source of the alleged sexual harassment.
The writing was on the wall as early as last Saturday, but very few could read the subtext. Chick Hernandez had tweeted “Redskins fired Alex Santos, the director of pro personnel, and Richard Mann II, the asst. dir. of pro personnel Saturday. @BenStandig first to report. Team source tells me Santos’ departure is “non-football” related, but would not elaborate. Gut tells me we’ll know why soon”
ABC’s John Gonzalez had also tweeted about the news stating, “Working my sources but apparently changing of the Redskins name will be old news come tomorrow when a bombshell report is expected to surface. There’s growing buzz that unflattering news about organization could come out in just hours. We will be live with the latest on @ABC7GMW“
