Corey Anderson Leaves UFC Signs With Bellator

A big pickup for Bellator’s light heavyweight division.

Corey “Overtime”Anderson, ( 10-5 UFC,13-5 MMA) has spent the majority of his MMA career with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Anderson was riding a four fight win streak before he suffered a KO loss to Jan Blachowicz. “Overtime” has notable wins over Jan Blachowicz, Fabio Maldonado, Tom Lawlor, Glover Teixeira, Ilir Latifi, and most recently Johnny Walker.

First reported by ESPN, ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reported that “Anderson was not a free agent, but recently asked for his release form the UFC and was granted it.

“The Ultimate Fighter” Season 19 winner will likely be an immediate title contender for Bellator. Light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader, is currently slated to fight Vadim Nemkov.
