Hopefully, X-Man fans will get a fresh take on the ‘Coolest’ X-Man, Ice Man. Just kidding of course, that title goes to Gambit. Reported first by We Got This Covered, Marvel would like to work with Shia LaBeouf. As the actor carries a very intense schedule, a role outside of the main line up could be perfect for all parties involved. Bobby Drake (Iceman) also recently has come out as gay in the comics, so it will interesting to see if that comes up in future films as well.
Originally, Ice Man was the second member of the X-Men team. He had left his parents with Professor Xavier and Cyclops to the “School For Gifted Youngsters”.
Originally, it was rumored that LaBeouf was up for the role of Moon Knight. Moon Knight, or Marc Spector was the son of a rabbi and a heavyweight boxer turned U.S. Marine. Though often compared to Batman, Moon Knight has no issue killing his opponents. However, now it appears that LaBeouf is no longer in the running for the part and perhaps that is a blessing in disguise.
As a massive X-Men fan, it is exciting to see an actor of Shia LaBeouf’s caliber being linked to the franchise. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come for Marvel’s famous team of mutant heroes.
